About

Our Story

Every child is a nebula —
and you are the conditions.

Long before a star is a star, it’s a nebula — a quiet cloud holding everything it will one day become. Maria Montessori borrowed that word, nebulae, for what lives inside a young child: not empty space waiting to be filled, but potential already there, waiting for the conditions to ignite.

That’s your child. Not a blank to be written on — a nebula. Language, number, music, kindness — all of it already glowing faintly inside them, waiting to be awakened.

And a nebula doesn’t ignite itself. It needs the right conditions — and that’s you. Not a teacher at a board, but the warm, ordinary world around them: the home you prepare, the moments you share, the wonder you leave room for.

You are the conditions. You grow as they do.

How Kids Love began

I know a child is a nebula because I was one, too. I was a Montessori child at Kenosha Montessori School, and the teachers there didn’t fill me up — they made the conditions, and let me catch fire in my own time.

Years later, I chose this work on purpose: a Master’s in Early Childhood Education, Montessori trained, and more than a decade beside children and the people who love them. But the truth underneath all of it is simpler — someone once believed I was full of light I couldn’t yet see. Kids Love is me handing that belief to you, so you can hand it to your child.

Ralph and I built it for our own home first — a way to raise a curious, peaceful child without turning our house into a school. It worked. So we made it for yours.

Warmly,
Sahar

Our mission

To help parents raise curious, peaceful children — without turning their home into a school.

Most curriculums hand you a schedule and a stack of worksheets. We do something different: we show you how learning already lives inside your ordinary day — the pouring, the counting, the questions at bedtime — and we give you the plan, the materials, and the confidence to meet it there.

That’s what we mean when we say:

One ordinary moment. Three things grow — your child, you, and the home you share.

What we believe

Three beliefs sit under everything we make:

  • Life is the classroom. Learning travels with you — a backpack, not a classroom. A hard day at home can become an easy day at the park, and that’s not falling behind. That’s the method working.
  • Peace begins at home. Peace starts in a parent’s heart, is lived as a family, and is carried outward by the child. A calm home is the first lesson.
  • You are the conditions. Your child is pure potential; you are the warmth that awakens it. You don’t have to be perfect. You have to be present.

Who’s behind Kids Love

Sahar Miller, M.Ed. — founder and educator. A Master’s in Early Childhood Education, a certified early childhood educator, Montessori trained, and 10+ years beside young children: in preschool and the early grades, in intervention and IEP support, and in social-emotional and peace education. And a mom, in the thick of these very years.

Ralph Miller — co-founder and Montessori trained for upper elementary. He’s also the Peter Pan of our family, the one who finds the wonder in a small moment and turns it into laughter. And a dad, whose question — is there another way to do this? — started all of this.

We’re not a faceless curriculum company. We’re a family who wanted a calmer, more wonder-filled way to raise our own child — and built it so yours could have it too.
